In this letter Lokaramaṇa Upādhyāya responds to orders given to him by the chief royal preceptor regarding the following: the territorial extension and political influence of the Company government; the preparation of a map of Hindustan; neighbouring states of the Company government; the military status of different forts controlled by the British; the preparation of a map and the acquisition of pictures of Calcutta and the recruitment of a person able to identify proper flint for use in weapons.[ed. by Manik Bajracharya, Simon Cubelic, Rajan Khatiwoda]
