οπτής ‘Broiled’ or ‘roasted’, i. e. cooked with dry heat, as opposed to
boiling (εψω; for the distinction, see Olson-Sens 2000 on Archestr. fr. 11.8 [SH
140] and p. 42), apparently the normal method of cooking shrimp.
άποφανώ The word here must mean ‘render’ or ‘make’, as at Ar. Eq. 817;
Aristopho fr. 8.2 (cf. LSJ s. v. IV. 1).
